You pointed out the playground on Adams near Menard and said it was new. I have memories of a playground in that area in the 1950s. I grew up in an apartment building at Waller and Washington and spent many hours at Columbus Park. I have no proof, only my memories.

you are not the first person to correct me about the playground. i guess because i usually played at the one
at the corner of Jackson and Central, I just overlooked it in my memories.
