  1. Just watched the Polk (st.) video. we lived at 3644 west polk in the ’40s & 50’s. I went to Gregory School!!! starting in 1947, my brothers Gerald (Jerry) & Phillip started in 1935 & 1940.
    I was inside 2004 or so, looks just the same!!!
    Would LOVE to reconnect with neighbors & school friends.

  2. Thank you Larry. I enjoy all of your posts. That church building was Presentation church and school. I attended during the late 1950’s. Its good to see the old neighborhood!

  3. WOW , what memories!!! I was born and raised in the apartment building,which has been razed,at 3307 W Lexington ,I attended Gregory elementary school, from 1946 to 1955..Walked down Polk street to Gregory and back, every day..Mom bought all our clothes at Sears,and did her food shopping on Kedzie Ave .My father was a janitor in the neighborhood…
