Keep this history coming! Austin was a beautiful area and my brother and I have fond memories of living there for 19 years.
we have around 500 episodic videos about the west side on chicagowestside.lteren.com
Damn I can’t locate that book! I do know Kevin Clark. Any idea where I can buy it?
you can also try amazon but this one is from abe books.
I cherish your memories….for me starting in 1931
thanks, Jack. appreciate your input.
Thanks for mentioning my book, but you’ve got the wrong house here. I grew up at 135 S. Menard, the house just south of the one you are showing.
Lot’s of good work here.
thanks for checking it out. we lived from 59 to 68 3 blocks east between lotus and central on quincy. we all experienced moving more than
once or twice further west. that was the point of the story.
My best friend lived just south of Fulton on Mayfield. Huge old house! I lived on Fulton and Central in a big apt building. My brother said it was converted to condos. Keep the stories coming. Great to remember the good old times.
